A bad web presence is like not being in the Yellow Pages 30+ years ago.
In times past it would have been unthinkable to not have your church listed in the Yellow Pages. Today, many Baptists neglect their online presence which hurts people’s ability to find good churches.
If you don’t KNOW people can find you – they probably can’t or see incomplete or outdated information.
People today don’t go a restaurant without looking up details and reviews first. Like it or not, churches are no different. Getting yourself where people are looking at a basic level isn’t hard, but it’s a purposeful effort that must be made. Sadly, too many good IFB churches either don’t know how or are unwilling. Here’s some of the most common reasons for bad web presence that I’ve found:
Reluctance to use the internet
Not using social media is reasonable. Not using not ensuring accurate information about you is on the internet… it’s catastrophic today. Read a real life example here.
Not knowing where to begin
I’m very experienced in helping people without any understanding get started. I know how to guide you in giving me what I need and will take it from there.
Lack of staff or willing volunteers
This is not uncommon and it’s the problem I am trying to solve. I can get things started and train you or people in your church to maintain what I do for you after I’m done.
Thinking websites are unimportant
Even if you’re knocking doors and using tracts, people are going to look you up. Believers moving to your area are going to want to vet your music, dress standards, and ministries too.

This is not a business. I want to help solve a problem and am offering free help.
